The Light & Bright treatment offered by the Nordlys system is an exciting new aesthetic treatment that can remove dark spots, reduce redness, and improve textural irregularities via skin resurfacing. The treatment combines two advanced technologies found on the Nordlys system. Light & Bright treatment uses both an intense pulsed light (IPL) technology called SWT® (Selective Waveband Technology) IPL and a 1550 laser on the face and chest areas to rejuvenate* your skin. The treatment does not break the skin, so the downtime is minimal.

Frax skin resurfacing, acne scars, surgical scars and striae
here are many fractional non-ablative laser devices out on the market today that are used by dermatologists to enhance the skin. The Nordlys Frax 1550 is one of the most effective ones available for use and FDA cleared and approved. This device is used alone or in combination with an IPL (intense pulsed light) handpiece which provides even more dramatic improvements in the skin. We evaluate patients during their first consultation appointment to determine if patients will benefit from the fractional non-ablative laser device alone or in conjunction with IPL.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses pulses of light to penetrate the lower layers of skin and target melanin. The light is converted into heat, which destroys the pigment particles. Most IPL systems will refine the light output with filters to enhance skin penetration and targeting.
IPL treatments are non-invasive, and most people do not need any downtime. The results of IPL treatment are long-lasting but can take up to five sessions to reach the desired outcome. Candela’s Selective Waveband Technology (SWT®) IPL on the Nordlys system targets the excess melanin with narrow wavelengths of lights (less heat in the skin) to improve the pigmented lesions. The Nordlys is FDA, CE, and TGA cleared, and is a non-invasive treatment for dark spots and other skin pigmented lesions.
